For Sale: Cannondale CAAD8 R1000 58cm

Below is a bike for sale by a friend of mine for anyone interested.  He wants to try and sell it locally before putting it up on ebay and the like.  Please feel free to contact him directly with any questions, comments or, I am sure, offers. (

Cannondale CAAD8 R1000 58cm  $1500 b/o

I purchased the frame, brand new, a few months ago and had it built by Cadence, with a mix of new and used components.  The frame, fork, r/d, f/d, headset, chain, cassette, cables and housing have about 400 miles on them, half of which were indoors on the trainer.  The cranks have about 600 miles on them.  The saddle is basically brand new.  The shifters and brakes are from my previous bike but work perfectly.  The shifters do have a few minor scratches on the top plates from turning the bike over while fixing a flat.  The frame is beautiful, but has a scratch on the non-drive side chain-stay.  (If you would like additional pictures, just email me,   Without the Powertap (not included) it is just over 17lbs.

This bike is amazing; light, fast, extremely responsive and climbs very well.  It is the same frame that Damiano Cunego rode in the Giro a few years back, opting out of using the Cannondale carbon frame because of how well the CAAD8 climbed.  The Matte Black BBQ finish is beautiful and has received many compliments. Since being built, it has been maintained by Cadence, washed down after every ride and is in near mint condition.  I really love this bike, but I am selling it because it is a little too big for me.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions at
